History

Founded in 1991, Verity Graphics is a family-run company that offers Website, graphic design and editorial services. Our company is far more than a technical resource: we are facilitators, who work with our clients to develop a concept, translate that concept into words and images, and then hone that initial output into a finished product. We focus on providing these services to the areas we know best: performing arts groups, individual artists, social service organizations and owner-managed small businesses.

For 13 years we were the graphic artists for the Amadeus Choir of Greater Toronto, providing posters, flyers, season brochures, newspaper ads, and concert programs. Custom Website design was added to our capabilities in 1998 as a logical extension of our graphic design business - initially with the Amadeus Choir and then for many other clients.

Some of our current Website clients have come to us with only a very general idea of what they wanted their Websites to become. They have relied upon our expertise to organize their documents, brochures, photographs and other source information into a concise, logical form to publish to their site. All of our clients have engaged us to update and maintain their sites. Because we are a small firm, clients get the full participation by the two principals at Verity Graphics in all aspects of their Website creation and updating.

Capabilities

Verity Graphics is PC-based (running Windows 7 Professional), unlike most graphic design firms that concentrate on Macintosh equipment and software. Most of our clients use PC's in their daily operations, and are genuinely relieved to be able to avoid cross-platform complexities. (However, we do have PC versions of some of the major Macintosh software - including Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.)

• Scanning - 1200 x 2400 dpi, 36-bit colour depth, both conventional scans and transparencies
• Fast and accurate optical character recognition (OCR) scanning of previously-printed materials
• High-resolution laser printing (1200 dpi)
• Colour ink-jet printing
